Jazz, funk &

Three concentric circles of musical experience, a Neapolitan ice-cream of noise

The shared fantasy of a Hackney organist and a Parisian crate digger, Church Of Sound is a central speaker tower, a ring of musicians exploring unheard territories, and a surrounding audience sharing in one-off happenings. In modern day London, where opportunity shrinks and rent swells, space needs to be reimagined & reclaimed. Closed-off vacuums spread through the city, denying communities their place: by promoting a philosophy of symbiotic dual-use, Church of Sound transforms St James into a one-night-only music venue unlike any other.
